Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Life Force
Energy’. It refers to the Life Force Energy that flows
through all living things, the energy within us and around us.
This source of universal energy is external and limitless.
A Reiki treatment is carried out by a simple laying on of hands,
the client drawing energy through the therapist who acts as
a channel. The healing directs itself naturally to wherever
it is most needed, activating the body’s natural ability
to heal itself. It works wherever the client needs it most,
releasing blocked energies, cleansing the body of toxins, relieving
pain and working to create a state of balance.
Although Reiki is a hands-on form of healing, no manipulation
of the body is involved, as in other therapies. Reiki can be
used successfully in conjunction with other complementary therapies
and with orthodox medical treatment. It is a very simple, non-intrusive
and extremely powerful, yet gentle process, which encourages
physical, mental and emotional healing.
The most common experience is a feeling of peace and well-being,
with deep relaxation, allowing the body to start its natural
healing process. |
